Activities for week commencing - 6 January 2014
Category: NewsIn the first half of the Autumn term, Reception begin by getting to know each other. We paint portraits of ourselves in our school uniform and take photographs of our new friends. Next we start to learn about families and everybody brings in a photo to talk about who is in their family. This year we are going to do lots of learning outside the classroom as well as inside. Our topics are based around some favourite story books and on the children’s interests so we are looking forward to tailoring our learning to what excites the children and captures their imagination. Finally, during the run up to Christmas we will be celebrating individual talents and taking part in seasonal activities. Christmas parties, the school carol concert and this year, our own Reception Christmas Assembly; a busy time for Reception but also lots of fun!
